DuckTales Plus 5 More Disney Classics get an HD Bundle Release

DuckTales OooWOOoo!

Yes it is still obligatory to say ooowoooo after DuckTales (ooowoooo). Like any good child of the 80s I watched and played DuckTales. If you were tempted by the recent rerelease but didn’t jump now is your moment. Or if you played it and are desperate for more 80s/90s nostalgia. The Disney Afternoon Collection has been announced and brings 6 Disney classics together for the first time in HD glory.

The pack will contain DuckTales, DuckTales 2, Chip ‘n’ Dale Rescue Rangers, Chip ‘n’ Dale 2, DarkWing Duck and TaleSpin. If any of those made you go “huh?” then go and YouTube the cartoons immediately.

Here are the details straight from Capcom themselves:

Chip ‘n Dale Rescue Rangers – This classic lets players team up with a friend in co-op play. They assume the roles of the mischievous Chip and Dale as they take on memorable villain Fat Cat and attempt to solve the mystery of a missing kitten.

Chip ‘n Dale Rescue Rangers 2 – Fat Cat has escaped and his plans are even more dastardly this time. The titular heroes and supporting cast Monterey Jack, Gadget, and Zipper must stop Fat Cat from his evil dream of world domination.

Darkwing Duck – Play as the original caped crusader and fight a city full of criminals from the infamous F.O.W.L. organization in this action-packed platforming epic.

DuckTales – In this iconic platforming adventure, players help Scrooge McDuck fill his feathery pockets with vast riches from across the world.

DuckTales 2 – The sequel to the original game comes jam-packed with more action and an even bigger caper set in new locations like the Bermuda Triangle and Niagara Falls.

TaleSpin – Take to the skies as Baloo the bear navigates his plane through exotic and dangerous locations in this side-scrolling shoot-em-up.

What you Need to Know

All of these cartoon-based games have been lovingly restored and now support 1080p. Taking a page out of other remakes playbooks you’ll be able to switch between HD and old skool graphics. Plus all the games now have new modes – Time Attack and Boss Rush. Expect these to be a challenge. Games produced in the 80s and 90s tended to be merciless at giving you insta-deaths so a new rewind feature will let those who are new to the game get through.

The Disney Afternoon Collection will be released on April 18th for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. It will cost £15.99.
