Hello, Everyone!

As you may know; I started working at EA four weeks ago, this is something that I have worked towards for many years and I wouldn’t have got the job if it wasn’t for you guys and the work I have done at Gaming Masters. I knew that I might have had to step down from being EIC at Gaming Masters and I was *partially* prepared to do so. I have poured countless hours into the site over the past 9 years and my aim is to do the same over the next 9 years all over again. Thankfully, I didn’t need to step down.

However, I have taken the decision to personally stop writing daily news posts and writing as often as I have over the past 9 years. This isn’t something I have been forced to do or a decision I have taken lightly. To put it simply and be very blunt, I don’t have the time anymore. I started the site when I was in Primary School for a bit of fun. I finished School at 3 pm and had a significant amount of spare time. Two years ago, I left School which meant my days became longer but somehow I managed to still put many hours into GM per day. Which meant the site was *alive*, the was content posted throughout the day without any problems. Now, I leave the house at 8 am and get back at 7:30 pm, meaning that I only have the evenings and weekends to write. In the world of Journalism and also being able to socialise/relax evenings are too short, so for me, it’s one or the other. I don’t feel that I have enough time to write, socialise, manage the team and relax all in 3-4 hours. So that’s why I have decided to take a step back, I will, however, still manage the team and work behind the scenes. Some written content will be done by me but as and when I can do it.

Because of the above changes; it means I need a team to write the news stories and keep the site alive. Most of our current team are in University, College and School. Therefore, with exam season approaching and revision being an obvious priority the site requires a new Senior Editor that isn’t in College/University or at work full time, that can dedicate multiple hours per day to writing for the site. If you think YOU are that person get in contact with me Eddie(@)gaming-masters.co.uk and send over your CV. We will have a proper job listing soon and we will update the post once we have this setup.

The role aforementioned is paid and we might be looking for more Staff over the next few weeks so keep a lookout on our Jobs page here.

Thanks for understanding, if you have any questions ask them over on Twitter @OfficialGMYT.

Stay Awesome!
Eddie Stubbington
