Top 5: PS4 Exclusive Games you should pick up if you haven’t already…

So, I haven’t owned any mainline PlayStation console before, this meant I missed out on some of the classics on the PS3, PS2 and PS1. I’ve now played a few so thought I should make a list of My Top 5: PS4 Exclusives.

I got a PS4 around the launch of No Man’s Sky/Uncharted 4 as I really wanted to give them a go. We all know how No Mans Sky turned out at launch, and Uncharted 4 just didn’t get my attention properly. I ended up selling my PS4 and not having one for 6ish Months. I then rebought one In November, which is when I came across some classics, which I have really enjoyed. So I thought I’d make a quick Top 5 List showcasing them. This would be a perfect start for a new PS4 Console owner, or someone looking for a few games in the next sale čÖé

Please note, as ever with these Top 5 Lists. We don’t have these titles in any specific┬áorder, it’s just a list of The Top 5 Games I suggest picking up.

Infamous: Second Son/First Light

So, Infamous Second Son/First Light are┬áboth usually available in a bundle of some sort. I’ve┬ánot played the First or Second game in the franchise. But, I have (So far) really enjoyed playing Second Son (The Main game) and First Light (The Standalone DLC). In Summary, Infamous feels like a pumped-up version of Sunset Overdrive, I haven’t finished the game just yet, so here a is a review from IGN with gameplay.

Killzone: Shadow Fall

Yet again, I haven’t played the previous versions of Killzone, but after┬áplaying Horizon Zero Dawn, I was intrigued and wanted to check out Gurellia’s previous titles. I present to you Killzone: Shadow Fall. At the time of writing (Again) I haven’t finished playing it, however, it feels very much so like an alternative to the Homefront franchise. Loads of cool tech, smooth combat and from what I have heard, I really good multiplayer. This is a game you should definitely┬ápick up. Below is a video review from IGN which may contain some minor spoilers.

Uncharted: The Lost Legacy

This is the most recent title in my list of recommendations, and you might remember me mentioning┬áthat Uncharted 4 didn’t really get my attention. However, Uncharted: The Lost Legacy Definitely┬áhas, I’m not sure why. It seems to feel a lot more like Tomb Raider, which is a Franchise I have enjoyed for years. I’d definitely┬árecommend picking it up for a recent entry to the franchise without having to really play the first 4 titles, although that would help. As usual, a video review from IGN is featured below.

Ratchet & Clank

I mentioned earlier on that I’d never owned a mainline PlayStation console. The reason behind not saying PlayStation specifically, was because a few years ago I owned a PSP. One of the games I owned on the PSP was Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters, when I realised that Ratchet & Clank was on PS4, I just couldn’t resist picking it up. Times had changed in the roughly 10 years since I last played a Ratchet & Clank game, but it’s definitely a franchise I still love. The PS4 Entry simply called Ratchet & Clank is a Reboot of the original game, which was perfect for me as it meant I could get started with everyone else in the franchise. The title launched alongside the new film which didn’t get as positive reviews as the game, but, that’s not the point. I’d definitely pick this up when you get a chance for some classic platforming goodness. I just can’t wait for another entry to the Ratchet & Clank franchise soon. Check out IGN’s review below.

Horizon Zero Dawn

I mentioned Horizon Zero Dawn earlier in this article and how it made me intrigued to go back and play some of Guriella’s previous games. Well, Horizon Zero Dawn also made it onto the list. Horizon Zero Dawn came out almost a year ago and also made it in my Top 5: Games Released in 2017 Article a week ago. I loved *almost* everything in Horizon Zero Dawn, whether it be the story, the world or combat it was a game I just couldn’t put down. Horizon has a unique setting and a really interesting background, the game almost didn’t happen, as you’ll find out if you watch the NoClip documentary about the game’s development. Anyway, If you like the idea of Hunting robotic dinosaurs this is the game for you. A review by IGN is as ever featured below.

Well, that’s it there is my Top 5 Games that you must pick up on your PS4 Console, whether it be during a sale or your only just venturing into the universe of PlayStation 4 Gaming. I’m going to be running this Top 5 List for Cross-Platform, PC, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch as well. So stay tuned for those, also if you have any feedback regarding this article please leave it in the comments čÖé
